Noah

The righteous man God preserved through the flood in the ark, with whom God made a covenant marked by the rainbow.

When violence filled the earth, Noah ‘found favor in the eyes of the LORD.’ Obeying God, he built an ark and was saved with his family and the animals.

After the flood, God set the rainbow as a sign of his covenant never again to destroy the earth by flood. Noah is remembered as a man of faith.
