Jerusalem
The central city of biblical history—home to the temple, the place of Jesus’ death and resurrection, and a symbol of God’s dwelling with his people.
David made Jerusalem his capital and Solomon built the temple there. It became the heart of Israel’s worship, suffered destruction and exile, and was rebuilt.
