Barnabas

An encouraging early Christian leader who vouched for Paul and partnered with him in mission.

Nicknamed ‘son of encouragement,’ Barnabas sold a field for the church and later welcomed the newly converted Saul when others feared him.

He and Paul were sent out together on the first missionary journey, spreading the gospel among the Gentiles.
